A selection of photographs from the many events we've played...

Here's what some of our previous clients have said.

"We had our wonderful wedding at the Asylum Chapel in Peckham with the Spitfires as our wedding band, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. We love 50s rock n' roll and all things vintage, and the band really looked and sounded the part, and had everyone jiving on the dance floor in no time. They were also kind enough to learn and play a song no one apart from us has ever heard of for our first dance! They were consummate professionals from the day we contacted them to the last song - thanks guys!"
- Alvin & Frances, London

"Thank you so much for helping to make our wedding day so special! It was really important to us that our wedding had a relaxed and fun atmosphere, and the Spitfires fitted the bill perfectly. They looked and sounded great, and their enthusiasm whilst performing was infectious, getting everyone up dancing, from the children to our older relatives and everyone in between. The music was upbeat and fun, and its widespread appeal across generations made it perfect for a wedding. It is a sure sign of their talent that a couple of months on our friends and family are still talking about how much they enjoyed the band. We would not hesitate to recommend the Spitfires…in fact we’re hoping some of our friends book them so we get a chance to see them again. Great band, great guys and a great night!"
- Rupert & Abby, London

"You guys were amazing! Can not thank you enough. Learning our song too, you made our day! Every person in the venue said how amazing you were and asked how we managed to find you! Luckily for us our friends captured the first dance on video so we can listen again and again! :-) love from us both :-)"
- Chloe & Gerogia, Carlisle

"You even got me moving enough to have my first dance ever with my 4 year old daughter. You guys are a class act. Very genuine, talented and authentic musicians playing a genre that can easily sound cheesy, but you guys are in a different league. Well done, you did our G & C proud."
- James, Carlisle

"Thanks for performing at our wedding. The evening was spectacular and a large part of it was down to you guys. All our guests told Sian and I how amazing you were. Really easy speaking to you in the lead up to get everything perfect for the night as well. Cheers and good luck for the future."
- Michael & Sian, Bridgend

"I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you all for playing our wedding. It was wonderful. I would book you guys again in a heartbeat. You were just great, everyone commented how fantastic you all were. Thank you very much for making my wedding day amazing!"
- Erin & William, Hertfordshire

"We hired a 'slimmed down' version of The Spitfires (Phil and Pedro) to play as a duo during our blessing and afternoon drinks reception at our wedding in the Cotswolds in June. From start to finish they were a pleasure to deal with - totally professional and both really talented musicians when it came to the actual performances!
Despite the fact that they mainly play 50s and 60s stuff, Natalie really wanted to walk down the aisle to 'Starlings' by Elbow. They put together their own version of this just for us - and it was truly awesome (I'm not ashamed to say it brought a tear to my eye either)!
It's also worth mentioning that the weather struggled to make up its mind on our wedding day, and Phil and Pedro were totally patient and accommodating as we changed plans numerous times at the last minute - eventually settling for the original plan outside on the garden for the blessing (where they improvised brilliantly with an acoustic set). "

- Paul & Natalie, Gloucester

"Massive thanks for a wonderful evening of music at our wedding. We loved every minute of it and watching 4 generations of our family all dancing and enjoying themselves was magical. We could not have asked for more and can’t wait to see you guys perform again soon!!!"
- Martha & Chris, Hereford

"Gents, thank you once again for performing on our special day. You guys are a credit to yourselves and helped create a superb evening. I would recommend to anyone. All the best."
- John & Jan, Towcester

"Thank you guys for performing at our wedding yesterday, everyone really enjoyed your set, it was brilliant!"
- Paul & Amelia, Crickhowell

"Just wanted to thank you again for playing for us yesterday. You were amazing and everyone was so impressed - I had people asking all day who you were and where we found you; you went down an absolute storm!"
- Adele & Tom, Glamorgan

"Thank you so so much for a wonderful evening on Sat. You were everything we had hoped and more. All our guests loved you and all your music, as did the venue. Cannot believe how many people you had up dancing all night long. The four of you were all so accomadating and couldnt have done more. If you are looking at The Spitfires for your wedding don't think about them book them now otherwise you will miss out, such a great band and I can't thank them enough."
- Paul & Faye, London

"We have listened to these guys on a number of occasions and would recommend them (and do) - they are fab."
- Vintage Tea Party, Wales

"A HUGE thank you to you all, absolutely loved every song!! Looking for an excuse to arrange another party now so we can book you again"
- Lucy & Richard, Llandrindod Wells

"The true gauge of their colossal talent is measured by me by the fact that having known my husband Luke for 20 plus years, last Saturday was the first time he wanted to dance with me ever - and he was driving, so it can only have been the music."
- Mo, Hereford

"Thanks so much to The Spitfires. You made our wedding stand out to us and all our guests. I couldn't have imagined a more amazing evening without you all there. I hope to go to another wedding with you playing."
- Ellie & Jack, Hereford

"We wanted to say massive thank you for Saturday night. You were exceptional & just made the evening. All of our guests commented on how excellent you were and we feel privileged to have had you play at our wedding. We thought you were absolutely fantastic & it was a shame the night had to end, as everyone was having a great time dancing & singing along with you!"
- Emily & Chris, Corsham

"A great band. thoroughly recommend!"
- Rhian, Llanelli

"Effortlessly cool - these guys are a real class act! The Spitfires serenaded our guests in the garden drinks reception at our wedding in Herefordshire this year and were fantastic. They seemed to naturally blend in amongst our guests with their laid back suave, yet didn't fail to make an impression with their retro classic sounds. So many people commented on how good they were and we would definitely recommend The Spitfires for any event where laid back retro vintage cool vibes are on the agenda!"
- Mr & Mrs Lewis

"Thanks to you and your fellow band members for helping us have such a wonderful time on Saturday at Ruth and Luke's wedding. As we get back to normal my wife, Ros and I just wanted to say thanks. Ruth and Luke have escaped to the sun for a short break but I know they were very pleased with the whole day."
- Richard, Kent

"Just a quick email to say thank you so much for rocking our wedding! Everyone absolutely loved the band, so many people commented on how good you were."
- Rebecca & Steph, Lichfield

"The Spitfires played at our wedding last year and were fantastic. They provided background music before and after the ceremony and played for us outdoors, in several different locations. Lots of people commented on how the chilled out tunes were a brilliant modern twist on having a quartet playing. Nothing was too much trouble for them and I would not hesitate in recommending them. A top bunch of lads with talent to match!"
- Mr & Mrs Terry

"The Spitfires were one of the first bands to play at our pub, the guys were very professional with an excellent playlist that the crowd really enjoyed. The Spitfires created a real buzz in our pub and we cannot wait to have them back."
- Beer in Hand, Hereford
